Making Rope from Corn Husks (and other plant material)

Corn husks and many other soft plant fibers can be twisted into surprisingly strong cordage. The clip below shows the approach I use when I want a bit of homemade rope for garden ties, bundles, or experiments.

If you try this with different leaves or bark, adjust how much you split or soak the fiber until it twists evenly without breaking.
